A busy week at Microsoft Ignite in Orlando has wrapped up. It was a highlight for me to be able to lead three sessions discussing best practices in Microsoft Teams, Azure Bot Service & QnA Maker, and staying up to date with Office 365. Thanks to everyone who joined me at these sessions.
Below are some publications that were passed out at the event along with the resources I used or presented during my sessions, free for you to use as you see fit, provided you include appropriate credit to me as the author. I hope you find this content useful and I look forward to seeing many of you at events in the future.
Check out my publications
I am lucky enough to have worked with a number of awesome partners in the Microsoft cloud space to create guides on making the most of the apps and services in Microsoft 365. These were all available at Ignite in hard copy, but— lucky for you — they’re now also available online!
Matt Wade’s Definitive Guide to Everyday Etiquette in Microsoft Teams
This handbook, a joint project through AvePoint and my employer AtBot, is a guide to leading people to use Teams smartly. We’ve had the ability to email for nearly 50 years now, and that’s a lot of decades of poor business etiquette. Let’s learn from our past and ensure that Teams adoption pushes forth a new paradigm of better communication, with improved etiquette and standards. Get it here. A government version is also available.
A Guide to Intranet Home Page Design 101
This book from Valo Intranet should help you in the design and execution process for building out a new intranet home page — or any major home page in SharePoint Online, for that matter. From who to include on your team to how to keep up with maintenance, this should come in handy for any intranet owner or knowledge manager out there. Get it here.
Office 365 Groups Governance
Sharegate is one of the best resources for thought leadership on Office 365 Groups and I was happy to provide my Everyday Guide to Office 365 Groupsinfographic to this publication. This publication also includes great content from Gregory Zelfond (aka the SharePoint Maven), Quinn Mason, Marc Anderson, Todd Klindt, and Leigh Ryan. Get it here.
